Entrepreneurs Vasundhara and Riddhi Oswal are making their own inimitable mark on the entrepreneurial world, and winning the battle for gender equality and inclusion - for themselves and for current and future generations
-
Vasundhara and Riddhi (Ridi) Oswal are forces to reckon with in the entrepreneurial world. They are taking on gender-based supremacy and patriarchal dystopias to revolutionise the present in this male-dominated world.
These jet-setting sisters of Indian heritage from Switzerland are the daughters of business tycoons Pankaj and Radhika Oswal, who own the multibillion-dollar multinational Oswal Group Global corporation. They live in Villa Vari, one of the costliest homes in the world, which is worth more than 200 million USD. Their stunning home overlooks the Swiss mountains of Mt Blanc, and was created by renowned interior designer Jeffrey Wilkes, who also created the illustrious Oberoi Rajvilas, Oberoi Udaivilas, and many of the Leela Hotels.
Vasundhara Oswal: No Mountain Too High
Vasundhara graduated with a Bachelor's in Finance with Honours from a prestigious university in Switzerland and has an impressive list of accolades and merits to her name in just a few years of being part of the business world - she is to receive the Global Youth Icon Award in July this year and has also been awarded Inspiring Woman of the Year by The Economic Times. She is the Director General of Axis Minerals, which is a bauxite mining project in Guinea one of the largest bauxite mines in Conakry, it holds 884 million tons of bauxite. She also serves as the Executive Director (Finance) of PRO Industries, one of the largest ethanol plants in East Africa; the 25-year-old oversees investment strategy and overall plant development. In 2020, when she joined the board, she made history as the organisation's first female lead. Today, she is acclaimed as one of Africa's richest female entrepreneurs under the age of 30.
