Are you a victim of the sad beige aesthetic? You wouldn't be the only one. Also known as millennial beige, this label describes the neutral and minimalist interiors we generally see in the homes of 30- and 40-somethings.

You see, most millennials can recall either growing up in or being near a house with chaotic wallpaper and mismatched decor – and what's the antithesis of this? Clean interiors that evoke a sense of calm. Yet, it seems we've overcorrected, with almost every home on our Instagram and Pinterest feeds featuring this very plain aesthetic that often lacks personality.
