Long before noughties rom-com Mean Girls tried to make “fetch” happen, Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) effortlessly had everyone declaring, “As if!” — and, as coming-of-age comedy Clueless turns 30, it continues to have just as much impact on popular culture.

Cher appeared to have it all - wealth, popularity, confidence and a wardrobe to die for. And while she may have started out as aspirational, by the end of the film, we realised she was just as clueless as any other teenage girl. Despite her luxe life in Beverly Hills, as she meddled in her friends’ love-lives and nothing quite went to plan, Cher and her problems were definitely relatable.
