Not all heroes wear capes. Take, for example, Anna-Lise Brink. When the mother-of-three discovered a humble parenting staple doesn’t offer the sun protection she thought it did, she came up with a solution. As a result, she’s saving parents and their children from the stress, pain and damage many experience from our harsh Australian sun.

Muslin swaddles have long been considered one of the most versatile baby items. Generations have used the cost-effective essential not just as a swaddle, but as a form of relief from the sun, too – draping them over a pram or baby carrier.

But after a trip to Far North Queensland, during which Anna-Lise discovered the swaddles she'd been using were no better than SPF 6 sunscreen, she knew something had to be done.
