For 12 years, Natalie Portman and her husband Benjamin Millepied have appeared one of Hollywood’s most solid couples, after meeting on the set of Black Swan in 2009. But their decade-long union is now said to be on thin ice, following reports that the choreographer indulged in an affair with a much younger woman.

The pair, who tied the knot back in 2012, are reportedly battling to save their marriage after his alleged extramarital liaison – with a source telling People magazine the tryst “was short-lived” and is now “over”. “They have not split and are trying to work things out,” another source told Page Six. “Ben is doing everything he can to get Natalie to forgive him. He loves her and their family.”

News of the reported affair hit headlines on June 2, when French publication
