What you need to know about your pelvic floor

FLOOR IT

While you might not have heard of it before having kids or going through menopause, there's a lot hinging on the health of our pelvic floor. As the group of muscles that runs around the bladder, vaginal walls and anus, the pelvic floor is responsible for breathing, blood flow, reducing the risk of incontinence and even the intensity of our orgasms. This muscle group can cause pain too -37-year-old Broad City star Ilana Glazer suffered from chronic pelvic floor pain for two decades (something which affects one in four Australian women).

So, what do we need to know about the pelvic floor to keep it healthy? Here, Core Restore Co. (corerestore.co) founder Heather Foord debunks some of the most common myths and misunderstandings.
