When it was announced she’d been nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role as Gloria in Barbie, no-one was more shocked than America Ferrera. “There was a moment where I wasn’t sure if I had made it up,” the 39-year-old actress told Variety. “And then my phone started blowing up so I figured that I must have heard it right.”
