On top of the world! Life is good for newly engaged Kate Bosworth

In honor of her 40th birthday in early January, Kate Bosworth shared a heartfelt letter on Instagram written to her younger self. In the note, she reflected on learning to embrace change and face her deepest fears. “Change is how you will continue to grow,” wrote Bosworth, noting her excitement about embarking on a new decade. “Some people say 40 is the new 20, but you really hope not. You hope 40 feels like 40. It took decades to earn this position.”

A few months in, it’s already been a banner year for Bosworth. After struggling to find her footing in her 20s and 30s, the actress — who’s engaged to Justin Long — “has hit her stride” personally and professionally, a source says. Bosworth was linked to Long, 44, a few months after announcing her divorce from ex Michael Polish in August 2021. “Kate feels like this is her year,” shares the source. “She couldn’t be happier.”
