But as the Castle for Christmas star followed her family tree further back, she discovered the Italian branch had actually originated in France, and included one Christine Marie, Madame Royale, who was born in 1606 in the Palais du Louvre. Her father was King Henry IV, founder of the Bourbon dynasty — making Brooke a cousin of King Louis XIV!
