In a new study, researchers found that conditions such as obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure speed up the aging of the heart.

Utilizing a breakthrough method that used MRIs to reveal the “true” age of a heart, scientists at the U.K.'s University of East Anglia Norwich Medical School analyzed cardiac scans from 563 people, comparing 191 healthy individuals with 366 people who had a variety of risk factors for cardiovascular disease.
