Oscar winner Julianne Moore takes the lead in a buzzy limited series about wealth, class and family
Julianne Moore has breathed life into dozens of fascinating characters over the decades, but no one quite like Michaela Kell - or “Kiki” - in this spring’s binge-worthy limited series Sirens.
The rich wife of a hedge-fund billionaire, Kiki drifts around her opulent island enclave in designer gowns, spending her days dabbling in bird-conservation efforts and holding fundraisers. Along the way, she gains a cult-like following among a throng of wealthy housewives, not to mention her personal assistant, Simone, played by Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon), with whom she gets unusually close - so close that Simone’s sister (Meghann Fahy) becomes positively alarmed and determined to rescue her sibling from what she sees as a predatory, even dangerous, socialite.
What's truly going on with Kiki?
Without giving too much away, Julianne, 64, happily muses about her alter ego when we catch up with her to chat about the show - a darkly comedic study of wealth and family.
