Marking a milestone anniversary, King Charles calls on music legend Sir Rod Stewart to help him bury a time capsule
The King was joined by two very special guests to mark the launch of his flagship charity's 35th anniversary celebrations.
Sir Rod Stewart and his wife, Penny Lancaster - who have been named ambassadors for The King's Foundation - joined the monarch, 76, at the non-profit's headquarters, Dumfries House, in Ayrshire as he was asked to contribute items to a time capsule that best represent the foundation's legacy. The historic cache is to be buried on the property and opened 100 years from now.
There was a lighthearted moment as the King, wielding a pair of pruning shears, playfully pointed them at Rod. The rock legend flinched dramatically, causing Charles to erupt into laughter. (Before the King entered the room, Rod, 80, joked that he was going to throw his watch into the empty box.)
