Hello! Canada
|June 02, 2025
Celebrating Her Majesty's landmark visit with King Charles, we take a peek inside the royal treasure trove - which includes exquisite pieces created for Canada
-
Most women have a jewelry box. Queen Camilla has a vault brimming with tiaras, necklaces, brooches and earrings. Such is the glittering bounty that royal jewelry watchers are frequently surprised by the pieces the Queen chooses to wear. Among the treasure trove are pieces that are both historical and representative of the Canadian Crown - including five brooches with a northern touch.
Lauren Kiehna of website The Court Jeweller is a big fan of the iconic diamond maple leaf brooch that the Queen wore in her official Canadian portrait. First appearing during the 1939 royal tour - it was a gift from King George VI to his wife, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother - the brooch has been worn by three subsequent generations of royal women: Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Camilla and Kate, Princess of Wales.
