Adam Sandler revives one of his most beloved characters in Happy Gilmore 2 - and this time, it's a family affair
The fans spoke – and he answered! “For years, people have been asking me, ‘Hey, you ever gonna do Happy Gilmore 2?’ But it was never really something I thought too much about,” says actor and comedian Adam Sandler.
Now, audiences can rejoice, as the 58-year-old has resurrected his offbeat character for a sequel to the 1996 original film about a failed hockey player who takes his chances on golf.
“It is funny as hell,” Adam confirms. “It’s nostalgic, it’s about family and it honours the first movie and the [characters] we lost.”
The New York native invited a collection of guest stars to take part in the movie, including his wife of 22 years, Jackie, 50, and their two daughters, Sadie, 19, and Sunny, 16.
Here, the Saturday Night Live alum chats about the film, sharing the screen with family and hanging out with Taylor Swift.
