King Charles and Queen Camilla put their affection on display for a joyful state visit to Italy - and Hello! was there

Sharing a tender look and with their arms around each other as they posed for photographs to mark their 20th anniversary in the verdant grounds of Villa Wolkonsky – the British ambassador’s residence in Rome – the King and Queen couldn’t have looked happier together.

Though this was an official state visit on behalf of the U.K. government, the royal couple took every opportunity to celebrate their love story during their time in the Eternal City.

“Twenty years – who could believe it was 20 years?” said Camilla, incredulously. “What is the secret? I suppose it’s just friendship, really – laughing at the same things, getting on with life...We are always going in different directions, like ships that pass in the night. We whizz past each other. In fact, we have got a bit of a catch-up this afternoon.”
