Birthday girl Sarah Jessica Parker turns 60 with a healthy outlook on aging, family and life right now

It’s hard to believe that television’s most fashionable and flirty New Yorker is turning 60 – but Sarah Jessica Parker is taking it all in her beautifully shod stride.

“I think [with aging comes] more certainty,” the Sex and the City star – who celebrates her milestone on March 25 – told Allure. “You’re less timid. You’re asking fewer questions about ‘Should I? Can I? ... Is that allowed?’ With age and experience, you feel more certain about your place in the world.”

The child star-turned-rom-com darling will no doubt move through her new decade with just as much verve as that of her famous alter ego, lovestruck columnist Carrie Bradshaw – the award-winning role that cemented the Ohio native’s status as a global fashion icon.

And she’ll do so surrounded by the people who rock her happy world, including her husband of 27 years, actor Matthew Broderick, 63, their son, James Wilkie, 22, and their twin daughters, Tabitha and Marion Loretta, 15.
