Stars cheer British sportsman to victory at glitzziest Grand Prix

Royals and celebrities were out in force to cheer on the British Formula 1 driver Lando Norris as he zoomed over the finish line to secure a coveted victory at the Monaco Grand Prix – and HELLO! was in Monte Carlo to share the excitement.

Naomi Campbell, Dua Lipa and Princess Charlene of Monaco all watched as the 25-year-old McLaren driver triumphed ahead of Monaco's home hero, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, who won the race last year.

Lando said it was a “dream come true” to have won one of the most historic racing events in Europe.

“I think the best bit is that my [future] kids will be able to tell everyone I won in Monaco,” he added. “That's probably the thing I'm most proud about.”

And the racer's post-race drink of choice? Forget champagne: Lando, who was born in Bristol and now lives in Monaco, reportedly prefers a Capri-Sun and a bag of pretzels.
