INSPIRING PHOTOGRAPHER WHO CAPTURED ROYAL HEARTS LIZ HATTON THE PRINCESS OF WALES LEADS TRIBUTES TO 'BRAVE AND HUMBLE' TEENAGER SHE MET AT WINDSOR CASTLE

The Prince and Princess of Wales paid a touching tribute to young photographer Liz Hatton after she died of cancer last week.

The 17-year-old captured hearts in October when she was pictured sharing a tender hug with Kate at Windsor Castle.

"We are so sorry to hear that Liz Hatton has sadly passed away. It was an honour to have met such a brave and humble young woman," read the couple's personal statement on social media.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Liz's parents Vicky and Aaron and her brother Mateo at this unimaginably difficult time. W&C." William and Kate, who recently completed her own treatment for cancer, described Liz in an earlier message as a "talented young photographer whose creativity and strength has inspired us both".

Liz, from Harrogate, met the royal couple in October after they invited her to take photographs at an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle, ticking off an item on her bucket list.
