Every actor has a journey. For Shanaya Kapoor, it's been a mix of privilege and perseverance. As one of the high-profile Kapoor daughters, she had access to power, money and influence but that didn't shield her from the industry's unpredictability. While her friends Ananya Panday and Suhana Khan made their Bollywood debuts, Shanaya waited in the wings, facing rejections and setbacks. Now, with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, she finally makes her much-awaited debut. In a candid chat, Shanaya opens up about missed opportunities, quiet resilience, navigating self-doubt, and her belief in manifestation. Excerpts:

I auditioned for a few projects before Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan came my way. I'd worked with Panchami Ghavri on an audition that didn't land but she liked the tape.

Santosh Singh our director, saw that tape and called me in. I loved the script and we started prepping the next day.
