Shantanu Maheshwari has travelled the world but there's nothing like exploring India for this Kolkata lad. He loves taking off to different locales with his friends whenever the whole gang makes time. Travelling for him is a mix of the expected and the unexpected. While he likes to be organised, he's flexible enough to enjoy the day as it comes. He loves being surprised by life and lives for those moments while travelling. He's a self-confessed foodie who is game to sample local food. Himachali food, with its right flavour, proved to be a treat and he would love to explore it more at leisure. WELCOME BEGINNINGS

I’ve always believed in starting the year with a journey. Travel gives me a sense of peace, especially in the mountains, watching snow fall softly on pine trees. After months of hectic shoots and promotions, I needed a break. So last April, my close friends, Palki Malhotra, Shruti Sinha, Macedon Dmello, Virali Parekh and I planned a trip to Jibhi in Himachal Pradesh. It’s tucked away in the scenic Tirthan Valley and caught my eye while browsing online.
