Riding the Tides of Leadership: Prity Kumar’s Voyage in Maritime Excellence

Breaking Barriers in the Maritime Industry

imageNo other force is as strong as a woman determined to achieve her goals, and the same holds true for Prity Kumar. Prity Kumar, the Vice Chairperson & Co Founder of Alphard Maritime Group, exemplifies resilience and leadership in the shipping industry. Since joining the company in 2009, she has been instrumental in overseeing diverse business divisions, including IT, Legal, HR, Administration, Underwater Diving, Business Development, and Marketing. With a keen eye on financial decisions and placements across Alphard’s global offices, she has played a crucial role in the company’s expansion and success.

“My principal responsibilities encompass authorizing all financial decisions and placements across our global network of offices,” says Prity. Her journey into leadership began after becoming a mother to two daughters, overcoming challenges that only fueled her determination. Throughout her career, she has been guided by Captain Alok Kumar, whom she credits as a strong pillar of support and a role model for men aspiring to empower women.

A Strong Foundation for Leadership

Prity’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Multimedia. She started her career as a Website Developer in an IT company, a role that provided her with valuable insights into employee perspectives, workplace dynamics, and the significance of discipline and deadlines.
