After building KUOG with empathy and grit, Paul L. Gunn Jr. brought in a CEO to scale the company's mission-driven growth.

Paul L. Gunn Jr. has done something many founders find difficult: He stepped aside and let someone else lead. The founder of KUOG, who grew the government logistics contractor into a thriving, mission-driven company, recently handed the CEO title to Dr. Roy L. Rucker Sr., a retired U.S. Army chief warrant officer.
The decision wasn't just strategic. It was personal.
KUOG specializes in logistics and supply chain management for the Department of Defense and aerospace clients, handling complex operations that range from procurement and warehousing to cybersecurity support. Its fast growth stems from agility and mission alignment. Gunn says KUOG succeeds by showing up for clients and treating every project as a partnership, not a transaction.
