Regional carrier FLY91 launched its commercial operations in mid-March, aiming to establish a strong presence in the aviation sector. India’s youngest airline plans to break even within two years, the Goa-based airline anticipates employing approximately 350 staff members by the end of its inaugural year.

Currently, FLY91 operates with two ATR 72-600 aircraft, with four additional planes scheduled to join its fleet during the first year of operation. Manoj Chacko, Managing Director and CEO, FLY91, emphasised that the airline's financial requirements are already met, with Viability Gap Funding (VGF) secured under the regional air connectivity scheme UDAN.
