EXPANDING HORIZONS

South Asia's largest construction equipment exhibition, EXCON 2025, concluded with record participation, international pavilions, extensive product launches and a focus on mechanisation, sustainability and exports, underlining the sector's alignment with India’s infrastructure push.

Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry in collaboration with the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association, the 13th edition of EXCON was held from December 9 to 13, 2025, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre in Bengaluru. According to CII, the event covered about 3.5 million sq ft and hosted more than 1,250 exhibitors, including 134 international participants from 20 countries. Footfalls at the venue were estimated at about 1.2 lakh business visitors, positioning the show as the third largest construction equipment exhibition globally.

The scale of participation reflected the growing demand for construction equipment driven by infrastructure and urban development programmes across the country, with stakeholders using the platform to assess equipment availability, technology adoption and supply chain readiness.

Seven international pavilions from China, France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Turkey and the UK were set up at the venue, reflecting expanding overseas engagement and export interest. The show floor featured over 300 product launches and live demonstrations of equipment across earthmoving, material handling, construction vehicles, tools, accessories and building materials, enabling buyers to compare specifications, applications and operating capabilities.

Throughout the five days, buyers, policymakers and manufacturers held B2B meetings, order discussions and technology partnerships, against the backdrop of India's infrastructure allocation of ₹11.21 lakh crore for FY2026, which continues to shape equipment demand across roads, rail, urban infrastructure and industrial projects.
