CENTRES OF ATTRACTION

For the first time, Construction Week organised an event around data centres. We understand that the market here is booming exponentially and sought to understand as to what makes it tick. We joined hands with Anarock as our knowledge partner for the afternoon. Held on the heels of Women in Construction, Data Centre Leadership Forum 2025 tried to delve into the dynamics of this sector.

Indrajeet Saoji, group publishing director, ITP Media Group (India) welcomed the guests and also spoke about why this sector means much to the country.

imageIan Goldsmith, global head of sales, Royal Boon Edam International B.V. spoke on the changes that have happened over the years. The data centre market has advanced by leaps and bounds and contributing much to the economy.

Anarock's Shobhit Agarwal, MD & CEO, and Devi Shankar, executive director, capital markets - industrial, logistics & data center, launched a report that highlighted the immense scope of data centres in India and what the future holds for it.

We then moved on to the first panel discussion, Building the Future: Innovations & Challenges in Data Centre Development & Construction, which was moderated by Devi Shankar. The panellists comprised Parag Kulkarni, associate director, cost management, LineSight; Rohan Sheth, sr VP, colocation and DC build, Yotta Data Services; Jay Burse, chief vision officer, Prasa; and Jollydeep Kaur, head, enterprise sales, NxtGen Cloud Technologies.
