What are the key changes in Assam’s investment climate since the first edition of Advantage Assam?
Assam has undergone a significant transformation in its investment climate over the years. The government has rolled out forward-thinking policies, such as the Assam Electronics (Semiconductor) Policy, 2023, the Aerospace & Defence Manufacturing Policy, 2025, and the Assam Integrated Clean Energy Policy, 2025. These initiatives have modernized the industrial framework and boosted investor confidence. The introduction of an enhanced Ease of Doing Business framework with a robust Single Window Clearance system has streamlined approvals, making the investment process faster and more transparent. Furthermore, these measures are supported by an energetic populace of 3.5 crore, driven by a new zeal under dynamic leadership, which Iis positioning Assam as a burgeoning hub of industrial growth.
