VIOLIN BROTHERS: WEAVING EMOTIONS THROUGH STRINGS
BUSINESS ECONOMICS
|April 01 - 30, 2025
Violinists are storytellers, their bows gliding over strings to narrate tales of love, loss, and longing.
Few have mastered this art as exquisitely as the Violin Brothers of Kolkata—Deb Sankar Roy and Jyoti Sankar Roy. For decades, their soulful melodies have bridged tradition and modernity, creating a musical experience that transcends boundaries.
A lifelong Musical Journey
Trained by their father, Sri Nikhilesh Roy, and the legendary Sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, the Violin Brothers embarked on their musical odyssey at an early age. Firmly rooted in Indian classical music, they also cultivated a passion for innovation, blending their expertise with jazz, pop, and world music.
Their international journey began in 1988, leading them to some of the world’s most prestigious stages. From Queen Elizabeth Hall in London to the Forum in Barcelona, their performances have mesmerized audiences across Belgium, Morocco, France, and Switzerland. At the Paleo Festival in Switzerland, their soul-stirring music earned them widespread acclaim, reaffirming that music knows no borders.
