THESE DAYS, A lot of concept cars are basically upcoming production models that have been fitted with enormous wheels and had their door mirrors swapped out in favour of cameras. However, as its name suggests, the Vauxhall Experimental is different.

This Astra-sized coupé SUV isn't ever going to see the inside of a showroom. Yet it's no pointless flight of fancy, either; not only does it preview design elements that will find their way onto the next generation of Vauxhalls, but it has one that's guaranteed to feature on future models from rival manufacturers, too.
