YOU COULD ARGUE that choosing a Mini Cooper for everyday family duty is like drinking water from a thimble when you're thirsty; there are much more suitable vessels for the job. Happily, though, the somewhat impractical three-door model is now joined by a rather handier five-door version.
This is the second time Mini's most popular model has received the five-door treatment (the first instance being the 2014-2024 generation), and the formula is almost identical this time around. Take the three-door version, stretch it a bit and add two rear doors. Even in terms of size, this new five-door Cooper is only a few centimetres longer than the previous one.
