THE 3000 MKIII (BJ8) was the final evolution of Austin's 'Big Healey' range, with their enduring style a testament to Donald Healey's vision, as the silhouette of the model changed very little from the original Austin Healey 100 of 1952. Over 12 years the interior trim level, cockpit fittings and weather equipment improved to meet growing market expectations.
The power output of the MkIII's six-cylinder engine was rated at 150bhp, making it the most powerful of the range.
