The Skoda Octavia RS has been launched for Rs 49.99 lakh and online bookings started on 6 October. India was allotted 100 units and they have all been booked already.

The Skoda Octavia RS is powered by 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, sending 245 PS and 370 Nm to the front wheels. It clocks 0-100 kmph in about 6.7 seconds and tops out at an electronically limited 250 kmph. The Indian variant does not get the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), this feature alters the transmission, suspension damping and steering on the move while analysing the terrain for better handling.
