In an exclusive conversation with Efficient Manufacturing, Siddharth Shah, Managing Director of Revata Engineering, shares his journey into the business world, his experiences, and the strategies that helped him build a thriving enterprise.

Can you tell us about your early journey and how you ventured into manufacturing.

My journey into manufacturing is deeply rooted in my father’s entrepreneurial legacy. A B.Tech graduate from IIT Chennai, he launched his venture in the late 1960s, initially producing micromotors for Philips. When Philips shut down, he pivoted to pioneering vibration measuring and balancing equipment, a concept then unknown in India. Growing up in his factory, I was immersed in machining and manufacturing from a young age. After school, I explored different career paths and, at 18, founded Innovative Marketing, a web design and digital solutions business. This gave me a strong foundation in business and client management, but my true calling was manufacturing. In 2009, I founded Revata Engineering, combining my father’s expertise with my exposure to international markets.
