Refined look and plusher materials for accomplished hybrid hatchback

We really like the Civic here at Autocar, but it has quietly become one of Honda's weakest sellers over the past few years. This is especially true in the UK, where Honda has sold just 4000 Civics since the start of 2024, compared with almost 13,000 Jazzes. Since the 11th-generation Civic arrived in 2021, a wave of new SUVs have hit the market at a similar price but with more space inside and that much sought-after higher seating position, which helps to explain the hatch's downturn. Now it has received a midlife update - but it’s mostly a cosmetic one. Honda says the Civic has been refined in response to customer feedback, which has resulted in restyled front and rear bumpers and some new alloy wheel choices. The front foglights have been removed, too, in pursuit of a cleaner look; Honda claims the Civic’s LED headlights can do the same job.
