Updates to VW's smallest SUV follow changes to brand's larger models Petrol-only engine range continues and interior quality is improved

VOLKSWAGEN might be pushing ahead AF ignore its existing, successful combustion-engined cars - and it's treating its smallest SUV, the T-Cross, to a facelift.

The changes are part of a wider revamp for the brand's SUV line-up, after the updated T-Roc plus the all-new Tiguan and Touareg.

Since the T-Cross was launched in 2019, there have been updated versions, or entirely new generations, of rivals such as the Citroen C3 Aircross, Renault Captur and Nissan Juke. There's also an ever-present threat from its VW Group stablemates, the SEAT Arona and Skoda Kamiq, and VW itself has a potential rival in the Taigo coupé-SUV.
