THERE'S been a nip and a tuck to keep Volvo's long-running XC90 competitive, but the basic formula remains unchanged. The Swedish manufacturer's plugin hybrid version uses the same powertrain as last year's Towcar of the Year, the XC60, so it offers strong performance that is well suited to towing.
