Although there are permanent residents that live on this island, there are no shops to purchase supplies, so you need to be fully self su cient for your time there, so grab everything you need from Gladstone before you board the barge.

Lining up in Gladstone Harbour, the excitement will be high as you're rolling onto the Curtis Island barge, especially when it's a place you've never been to before. The experienced and capable deckhands work tirelessly to ensure everyone is loaded on time to prevent delays. Once the ferry has departed ensure you take this time to air down your tyres. The ferry also services other local islands such as Quoin Island and Curtis Island as well, so depending on how it has been loaded you might have a few detours on your way to your destination.

After an hour or so the drawbridge lowers and you drive straight onto the beach and hook a right-hand turn to avoid the other campers who have lined up on the beach waiting to depart on the return ferry. Roll those windows down and let that island breeze in... your holidays have just begun.
