Bengaluru’s Reservoire introduces a fresh narrative to the city’s social landscape, where art, nature, and architecture converge seamlessly.

The journey of Reservoire began with a deep appreciation for the site, formerly home to The Humming Tree. Envisioning the potential of the terrace, the team at Studio Camarada reimagined the entire space, stripping down the interiors to create a dynamic layout featuring a mezzanine, a central retractable roof, and an expansive terrace. Unlike its Koramangala counterpart, this Indiranagar location is an entirely new concept, built from the ground up to offer a fresh perspective on blending open-air design with nature. The result is a sophisticated structure that beautifully balances spaciousness and intimacy, a rare combination in urban spaces.

MUSING MUSEUMS
A few months back, when I was in Budapest, I walked into a building that left me awestruck. The inquisitive me went on to explore, and I discovered that it was a museum with pixels on the exterior and that the curved structure of the building dipped underground to form the interiors, even as the garden I was walking on was the green roof of the building that interjected at street level! Woah! I quickly took some pictures and went on to research this building, and the more I read about it, the more I fell in love with it. And then of course I had to share it with you all!
