Up to the moment advice on preventing Liver Fluke

Q I'm a fairly new sheep keeper and I'm still struggling to understand how to manage Liver Fluke in terms of identifying and preventing. I wonder where I can get up to date advice and keep on top of this.

A Liver Fluke is certainly something that keeps stock keepers on their toes and weather changes do often point to different ways to cope with the threat. But there is a lot of information from the Sustainable Control of Parasites in Sheep (SCOPS) who are also pleased to announce the third instalment in series three of its popular podcasts on this subject.

They have this advice: As the trend towards drier, hotter summers and warmer, wetter winters continues, the liver fluke season is shifting, and the time when grazing animals are picking up liver fluke off pasture is tending to be later but also extremely variable between farms.
