It was, as public apologies go, pretty epic. Nearly two weeks after Justin Timberlake was snapped getting close to his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright in New Orleans – without his wedding band – the singer took to Instagram in an attempt to explain his behaviour and make amends with his wife Jessica Biel and their four-year-old son Silas.

Highlighting that “nothing happened” with Alisha, Justin wrote, “I drank way too much that night and I regret my behaviour. I should have known better.”

But the mea culpa may have been too little too late, with sources confirming the 38-year-old is struggling to save his seven-year marriage to Jessica, 37.
