And despite marrying the world’s most famous footballer and creating a multimillion-dollar empire together, she always rued the fact her perfectly comfortable, middle-class Hertfordshire upbringing prevented her from breaking into Britain’s upper echelons of society.

Which is why it stings all the more that her husband David, 45, has hired a stunning communications director with impeccable credentials – and the kind of social connections 46-year-old Victoria can only dream of having.

The Daily Mail reports David has recently hired PR whiz Loulou Dundas, the 31-year-old daughter of Lord Bruce Dundas, who helped organise the wedding of the Queen’s grandson Peter Phillips.
