‘I waited 58 years to become an apprentice!'

This grandma is realising her dream of becoming a hairdresser

At the distinguished age of 73, Jill Nock is living proof it’s never too late to go after what you want in life after becoming one of the oldest, if not the oldest, apprentices in the world.

“Ever since I was a little girl I’ve wanted to be a hairdresser,” she says.

“When I was 15 my mum said it was out of the question because I would be on my feet all day. It was the 1960s and I had to give up on my dreams.
