'I Found Pleasure in Giving Things Away'

Linda Milne kept a box full of baby cards for 36 years. She went through them not long ago as part of a major downsizing exercise following the sale of the big family home Linda, husband Kevin and their four children had lived in for almost 25 years.

The cards were received after the birth of her oldest son Alex.

“Many were from people I couldn’t remember any more,” Linda tells. “I kept two or three that were of significant value to me, and I donated the rest to a kindergarten for the kids to use in creative activities.
