The nightclub scene in Chicago is prime for late night. The newest option, TAO Chicago, has become known as a celebrity hot spot at sister locations in New York and Los Angeles and the high-profile atmosphere continues in the River North spot, at the location of the old Excalibur nightclub. Music lovers can find the tunes going all night at Uptown’s famed Green Mill jazz lounge. From traditional to be-bop, contemporary to swing, this swanky hot spot is steeped in ‘30s and ‘40s culture (it’s said to have been a favorite of Al Capone’s) and offers electric performances and stiff drinks until 4 am every night of the week, 5 am on Saturdays. www.greenmilljazz.com
