Every smartphone company has a phone series or two that distinguishes itself from the competition. For Samsung, it’s been the Galaxy S and the Galaxy Note series; Xiaomi banks on the Redmi Note series and in Realme’s case, they have the numbered and the Pro series. Every successor in that series has brought incremental yet important addition to the phones. This month, we deep dive into their latest Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro phones.
On the face of it, both Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro look very similar. But the exterior similarities end with the large display and the stylish mirror space design. Both phones look premium and the matte mirror finish looks good, irrespective of the colours choices. However, Realme 7 Pro feels better in the hand because of the slim 8.7mm body versus Realme 7’s 9.4mm. The Realme 7 Pro is tad smaller too and 14g lighter. Moreover, both phones are certified by TÜV Rheinland for their reliability, which is given after successful completion of 23 major and 72 minor tests.
As for the physical keys and ports, both Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro have similar placements. There’s a power button on the right but Realme 7’s button doubles up as a fingerprint sensor; left-side features the volume buttons and the SIM+microSD hybrid slot. The bottom has the loudspeaker, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The power button mounted fingerprint authentication works as intended on the Realme 7, which Realme 7 Pro integrates within the display.
