AS OUR CONTENT HAS SHIFTED to cover more professional drone use, we’ve decided to update our name to RotorDrone Pro. We feel this new name better reflects the commercial drone feature stories, interviews, and even drone and gear reviews we have offered—and will continue to offer—to our ever-growing audience.
In the five years since we started this brand, drones have grown from a niche product to an everyday item that has applications in every conceivable industry, from pollinating apple trees to inspecting oil rigs and more. With its partner Windracers Ltd., Royal Mail has become the first UK parcel carrier to deliver mail to a UK island in a 70-mile, beyond-line-of-sight, autonomous flight to the Scilly Isles. Tasked to better connect the islands’ remote communities, a consortium including Royal Mail, Windracers Ltd., DronePrep, University of Southampton, Excalibur Healthcare Services, and Consortiq Limited is funded by UK Research and Innovation.
