AWS Summit Singapore 2019 Brings Together Asean Cloud Computing Community

Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS), an Amazon. com company, hosted over 10,000 technologists from across the Asean region who shared, learned and collaborated on the latest AWS features and services at the AWS Summit Singapore 2019 in April.

The inaugural AWS TechFest, which took place on the first day of AWS Summit Singapore, was a full day event dedicated to technical audiences such as developers, data scientists, application architects, and IT Professionals. There were handson labs, boot camps, certification information, and deep-dive technical training curated by subject matter experts who shared their real-world experiences.

On the second day of AWS Summit Singapore, Peter DeSantis, vice president of AWS Global Infrastructure and Customer Support, gave the opening keynote, joined by AWS customers, Indonesian start-up “unicorn” company Traveloka, and Certis, Singapore-based leading advanced integrated security services company. A wide variety of technical breakout sessions, demonstrations, and hands-on workshops helped professionals to better understand how they could successfully build their organization on AWS Cloud, be it a startup, small-medium business, traditional business, or a large enterprise.
