Why No One Has The Guts To Remove Sanjay From The Commentary Panel?

He mocked Harsha Bhogle, widely regarded as one of the best TV commentators in the world, for voicing his opinion...
India defeated Bangladesh in the historic Day-Night Test in Kolkata to whitewash the visitors in the two-match Test series. But guess what, the biggest talking point was controversial commentator Sanjay Manjrekar, who started trending on Twitter, on such an illustrious day of Indian cricket.
It’s no mean feat to be talked about as much on such a record-breaking day for Indian cricket but only shows how much people love to dislike former Indian batsman turned commentator. Manjrekar had pulled out the age-old jibe, which is used by cricketers when they start losing an argument, ‘I’ve played more cricket than you’. Condescending, bullying, disgrace were the words thrown in for the former Indian cricketer post the unceremonious incident on-air, where he mocked Harsha Bhogle, widely regarded as one of the best TV commentators in the world, for voicing his opinion without having played enough cricket.
Ironically, Sanjay Manjrekar’s book “Imperfect”, which came out earlier this year, had talked about his vulnerabilities and failures quite vividly. Undoubtedly, it was some other Sanjay Manjrekar, desperate to act perfect and be the know-all guy on TV with the entitlement of a cricketer, when all that Harsha wanted was to ask more questions. Sanjay Manjrekar’s Twitter bio reads: Longer career talking cricket than playing cricket, shows which is easier.
