Long-standing French team boss Roger Legeay clearly wasn’t one for warm, sunny training camps as his Gan team based themselves just outside of Pau for their 1996/1997 winter get-together. That’s Pau, the French city just north of the Pyrenees mountains. Cycling Weekly writer Will Fotheringham went out to interview Legeay, Chris Boardman and others to get a feel for how the French team would work through the season.
