Colour theory is one of my favourite techniques to deploy in photography. It is a lot of fun to play with and, if you use the colour spectrum well, it can completely change the mood of your image. If you use a monochromatic colour scheme for a photoshoot, it will give you a great foundation to begin with. I like to start simply with just one colour and then style outfits and props accordingly, I think about what that colour means to me and what mood it creates. I then like to expand my work and turn my singular images into a photo series by then working with a different colour for each photograph, and mixing it up with different outfits and props.
