New Norms Rolled Out For Temporary Cracker Shops

No permission for setting up shops in commercial complexes and marriage halls.

Ahead of Deepavali, the Fire and Rescue Services Department has decided against granting permission for setting up cracker shops at commercial complexes and marriage halls.

Fire and Rescue Services director K.P. Maghendharan issued guidelines to all officials dealing with the issuance of NOCs for temporary firecracker shops.

Applications for setting up temporary shops should be received in proper format with a rough sketch of the place where the shop is going to be set up.

Before issuing an NOC, District Fire Officers (DFOs) must ensure receipt of the spot-visit report from the inspection officer.
